Sound familiar???
Imitation, the sincerest form of flattery.
The only difference is Fountain never used the competitors names in his adds. Hustler has taken shots at Cigarette, Statement, now Fountain. You got to ask yourself, if the only way to make your product equal to your competitors is to belittle them in print, maybe you need a better product.

I couldn't agree more with Beak.

The add was printed in Performance boats not Power boats.Just wanted to make it clear.Seriously I wouldnt hold the mag responsible because they had a very positive write up of Reggies battle in court and what he has done for the offshore racing world/sport.Funny thing is they even said in the artical how the author wrote the peice before Oct 5th(aka before the hearings) and he hoped Fountain boats would "survive".They gotta make money too even if its that kind of trashy advertising.

No offense to the Hustler guys but sincerely.................

What has Hustler done that sticks out? I have never been on one. How do they ride? How fast are they with comparable power?

Do they win races? I'm not totally sure.

I do know that negative selling never sells. Never bash - just outperform in some way even if its a small difference.

Regardless of Hustler's story, they "wanted" to buy the company and were not able to complete the transaction. The only thing I can think of that's worse than posting your winning bid everywhere is to actually loose in the end.

Of all the crazy hype and talk from Reggie, I have NEVER heard of an instance where he told a guy that he "wasted his money by buying something else". It's just not a good foot to start out on....

Hustler will regret that ad but I have nothing against them or the boat.

PS To all you winter locked folks on this board, San Diego Bay was real nice today. 74 degrees with little to no wind. Burned a full tank and went back for more!!!!

Ads are Ads, some trash talk each other but Hustler thowing that one out kind of make them look like a pissed off ex-girlfriend. Would like to see more about the product.
