Mine never worked, so I installed something more usefull there. It's about the only thing not covered by the steering wheel.

If you repainted and re-labelled the panel, I'd be interested to hear how you did that exactly. I'm thinking to do the same with mine.

Wondered that myself when I bought it. Odd part is they installed the transducer and ran the wiring when they built the boat, makes you wonder why they didn't just finish it. Probably cost near as much for the fancy little plug as it would have for the actual gauge. Guess Reggie looks at them the same as I do, If you don't have one you will never know you were somewhere you shouldn't have been.
Maybe that's why he keeps raising the X on the boats!

I didn't do anything to the panel itself, just the gauges and shifters. The pic was showing my stereo remote, installed in place of the depth guage that never worked at speeds faster than 0mph.
The labeling appears to be silk screened. I have inquired about laser etching them if I repainted the dash from a trophy shop. They said no problem, I just never got around to painting it.
