If you repainted and re-labelled the panel, I'd be interested to hear how you did that exactly. I'm thinking to do the same with mine. I didn't do anything to the panel itself, just the gauges and shifters. The pic was showing my stereo remote, installed in place of the depth guage that never worked at speeds faster than 0mph. The labeling appears to be silk screened. I have inquired about laser etching them if I repainted the dash from a trophy shop. They said no problem, I just never got around to painting it. |
Livorsi Dash panels and gauges
All dash panels that come from Livorsi whether they are new or used get powdercoated and the text is lazer etched into the metal. We do not do silkscreen anymore.
All Livorsi gauges can be rebuilt to look like new from the front for about half the cost. See our dash desinger at WWW.LIVORSI.com |

I would think that if it's laser etched on bare aluminum before powdercoating, you can't see the text anymore afterwards. And if it's done after powdercoating, it's actually etched into the coating, not into the metal. Or am I missing something? |
Livorsi Dash panels and gauges
When a lazer etches a powdercoated dash the lazer reaches temperatures 1500 degrees and anneals (burns) the powder into the aluminum still protecting from salt air, but the text appears to be metal like.
Typically the text looks sliver on most colors but on black it appers gold. WWW.LIVORSI.com |

Bought all Autometer Pro-Comp and Bezels from CPPerformance $800. The prop slip I bought at a steal from a member on here which forced me to redo the dash again!!

By chance, do you have any experience of laser etching on an anodized (natural, non-coloured and non-coated) panel? For visibility, the text should be black (on the greyish background of anodized alu), I guess... |

Just got my dash back from Livorsi, the laser etch looks great.
Before and after pictures of the dash, I did the painting, but they can do carbon fiber. |
Looks good there Nancy!

Thanks,
