The whole seat, just the hyd cyl, or the seat bottom itself?

There are several long bolts thru the side that are removed from inside the side storage compartments, then of course the floor bolts. Assuming you got all of them. Mine had to slide away from the side do to the long side all-thread before lifting them up. There were several, sure you got them all?
Mine are electric, possibly your hyd lines are hanging up?

I think there are one or two long studs that go through the side gunnels, that are above the "rub rail" of the boat. To get at those, you need to remove the side vent, the big triangular one, and then you can see the bolts and be able to stick your arm in there to remove the nuts.
I have one stud that comes through the tube that holds all the wires and cables that run from the dash to the engine compartment. You can't even see it, you have to feel for it. That one stumped me the first time I removed the interior.

Just a word of advice, stainless studs or bolts when tightened or loosened with matching stainless nuts, "sometimes" and usually when you don't want them to, (LOL) have a tendency to lock up when they get warm from spinning a nut too fast in either direction. I've had them lock up when I used an air ratchet on em to loosen them. Now I remove them "slowly, and even before I start to remove them, I put just a dab of antiseize on them, and I've never had that problem again. All it takes is just a light touch with the brush to get a bit of the antiseize on the threads, and you should have no problem with the nuts locking up on you.
I think you've got 2 or 3 studs in the location I just spoke about. Good luck, and don't forget to use the silver stuff.

The place it seems to be hanging up is on the back of the seat by the cupholder like there is another bolt holding the 2 sections together & I can't seem to find it, I wouldn't think the hydraulic lines would hold it all in place like it's doing, they don't really have any tension on them All I want is to remove the top section of the seat from the steel frame

There should'nt be any bolts or screws holding the seat together with the side panel that has the cup holder in it. Unless a previous owner screwed the 2 together which I doubt.
Open the sliding plexiglass side panel door, and stick your head in there to look up under there. If there is any other bolts holding it in place, you'll be able to see them from there. If all you want to do is take off the headrest, you should be able to do that with a LONG phillips screwdriver, by going in from the bottom of the back of the seat. You'll see usually 2 screws that hold the headrest in place. DON'T round out the heads on em, or you'll have a mess to deal with.

Us1, 10x, there are no screws visible for the headrest, the metal frame that holds the cylinder is what's holding the upper section from seperating from the bottom, I see no screw or bolt going through the metal frame to the wood housing... Did they glue these 2 pieces together or what, cause there is no give

I think the screws for the head rest will be located above the metal frame that supports the hyd ram. Gotta get the top 1/2 off to get that though.
I had mine apart a couple yrs ago reinforcing the mount, and I tend to recall that the top half only came off after the cyl was disconnected at 1 end to allow it to swing away. I think the cyl. was in a position such that it was holding the back on from lifting off. Can't remember if I had to reach up inside the upper section and unbolt the lift cyl at the top, or just at teh bottom, but that was the only way it would come apart.

When you say top and bottom half, are you referring to the upper half of the seat, which is the section missing from this picture, and you are calling the bottom the metal frame or the bottom section of the bolster that's pictured?

I think there are a couple of long bolts on the sides that go from the upper seat section, thru the lower seat section, and then into the metal square tubing where it was bolted sandwiching it all together. Had to unbolt the seat from the frame to access those nuts that are inside teh square tubing. Not 100% sure on this, but seems to ring a bell. Or it's my tinitus impairment I' hearing.

Ya that's exactly what I'm going for, I was really hoping to not have to pull off the ram, it must free it up from unbolting the bottom cause I can't see any way possible to unbolt it from the top with out the upper shell off, I've got all those bolts undone so that's gotta be the only option left.... Thanx alot guys
