Question Drive swap

A Buddy of mine recently swaped the drives on his 38 Fever so that the props turn inward instead of outward. He was told it would have better bow lift, but now it doesn't seem to have any bow lift. Any advice will be appreciated. Thanks

Chummy,
With Bravo drives you just need to run the shifter in reverse and reverse the props to spin the other direction for testing. Turning the props in won't help with bow lift and probably slowed his boat down. Fountain started running the props in on his step hull boats. What year is his 38'? What power, props, drives? Certain props will give you more bow lift others lift the stern.

Its a 89 with 454's with blowers and TRS drives. It did slow down a lot. We are putting them back tomorrow.

depending on the props .........it'll lift the stern a little or a lot........

mine turn in..........they make it a little faster..............but its not worth it......................drives like crap around the dock and makes it drive spooky over the crest of lengthwise waves

On TRS drives you DO have to swap drives.......you cant run the trans in reverse to go forward.....it will burn up the clutches in no time!
