Engine Rremoval
Any tips on removing engine from 27 fever? Can it be done without removing the rear hatch completely or does it come off?
Advice?? |

No problem Dave. So no blower huh?
I've had to lift motor up high enough to clear the front mount, and then turn it 90 deg to clear the rear seat ledge. Then up and out. I also have the front of motor stripped of pulleys and pumps to aid in the removal. |
Decided to go naturally aspirated. Hopefully less problems. I want to keep the 24 spinelli 4 blade that I am running now. With a rebuild putting out 525 or so HP I should be at 5200 with the spinelli. My only quetion now is when to do the deed. We are now getting close to boating season and I don't really want to have my boat sitting and not usable because some parts have not shown up or the heads are not done. It's also a really busy time with boat mechanics doing all the spring services and my engine builder does a lot of nascar type engines. I may have to wait until June or later if things don't come together.
