They ran great, but the start was not all the cats and him. He pulled way out front and no one was willing to go chase him down. I'm pretty sure the 2 Skater 388s could have run with/by him but for whatever reason decided not to chase him down. We were running with the pace boat at about 120 and the 388s (Pure Plat and a new one from MD) came by us like we had an anchor out, they closed some of the distance and then both backed out. PP said they had a warning going off, I didn't talk with the other guys.

I think that is a pretty good video showing kinda what we saw.

Not to take away from Fountain as they are the un-disputed king of V-hulls IMO but there was a pace boat for the begining and Stampede jumped it (so OK, no big deal)......the fastest cats had never been there are were looking ahead at a 90 degree turn (at the "powerlines"), I'm sure they ran conservative not knowing the river....There was plenty of water for the last leg, I'd love to see any video from that area.
