Left Hand Prop on a 27 Fever Questions
Well...I've got a "new to me" '94 27 Fever this year. It had a 23P Mirage Plus on it when I got it. I read on OSO that a LH prop should work better on my boat so I bought a LH 22P Hydro Quad. When I put it on my Bravo I, I thought I'd check it out for performance before switching the cable on the shifter. I expected the shift positions to be backwards, but they weren't. Of course this didn't show me much because I think the prop is still turning right which means I'm catching water on the back side of the prop...right? :grinser010:
Right now I'm the fastest backing boat on Texoma! :lolhit: Question 1: How do I get my Bravo I to do a left rotation so I can use this prop? Question 2: Do I have to disassemble the shifter to change the cable positions? I know I can do this...I just need a little knowledge base from OSO. Thanks for any and all help...it's defiitely appreciated. Jim |
The shifter should allow the cable to be reattached in the opposite side. Word of warning on rotating LH. I have seen boats snap shafts in Bravos from doing this very thing. The shafts take a set in one direction and now you are loading/twisting the shaft the other way. Can lead to failure.

are you having any other issues that would make you want a lefty prop , i use a 24 p bravo 1 prop rt hand and it works great i think . it is not the most top speed prop but it does everything well handle, hole shot ,stay on plane at low speeds so far so good .all i can say is that rt hand props work well for me .

no problem really interested to hear how this works out for you , a few people have told me of that issue "listing" and i have never encountered it sad to say . just wanted to let you know that if things do not work left there have got to be other props to try to fix the right hand list !
