I just sold my '97 271 Formula and am in the market for a used Fountain(other brands are fine but can't seem to find much I like). At this point I am leaning toward a '35 Lightning or Executioner or possibly a '42 Executioner. I'd like to have 525 EFis no matter what I get. Besides the 271 I have mostly driven other Formulas a 292, 303s, 353s, and a 382. At one time I drove a '29? Fountain for a day that belonged to a friend. My experience in the other boats was all very limited. Any comments or suggestions would be appreciated.

I have a 292 looked at a 06 35 EX last Sat.Decided to wait till I can get what I really want which is a 36 Pantera.
Word to the wise our boats are not worth much Formula really screwed us with the escape program.It was great going in with the 0 to 2% interest but it was built into the price of the boat.Formula's seem to have taken a bigger hit percentage wise than other brands.Good luck with your search a 35 EX or Lightning is night and day compared to your 271.

I had three Baja's before the Fountain. 25, 29 and 33 Outlaws then went to a 42 Lightning. You will love the ride of the Fountain. Some decent deals on 42 EX in the classifieds here on OSO.

Can't gowrong with either 35 or 42.
In the last 5 seasons (including this one) I have owned a 35 ex, 42 lightning and now a 09 35 lightning.....all great boats.
