was thinking about buying a 1990 fountain lightning, interested to know how much power it will take to go 85 90mph i have hp 500's and trs drives to go in it. anybody have info on this hull, weight, hull speed, etc

I would say 575s to go 80 650s to go mid to upper 80s and 700 to break 90, Wave crushing boat! stable solid ride 11500 LBS

Similar question, how do you think an early 80s 12M flatdeck would run with 425s and #3s?

We were a Fountain dealer in the mid-80's. We had a 12m with 400s and TRS drives, ran upper 60s. The 10m with 370s and TRS would run 72.
