Hi all. I'm in the market for a 47' Lightning - probably from 1996 up to around 2004.
Just thought I'd put it out there. I am looking for either a complete boat, or one minus engines as I will be re-powering once I it arrives.
Would certainly prefer it to still have the drives, but not essential.
I've searched most of the usual places, but thought that I might get the grey matter of the Fountain crew on here ticking over.
Thanks for your input.

That 47 repo boat looks to me like one heck of a deal at $140k.
572 Chief motors at 900hp each?
Are those #6 drives on there with Herring props?
Looks to be well taken care of and very clean!
It apprears by the condition of the boat that bad things happen to good people...

I called on this thing a month ago....and was told it was sold???
So I called again today after seeing this thread and nobody there knows anything about it.
Chuck, the guy who owns this bus. is never around and always out of the office...so who knows.
Marketing tool?

I have contact info for the guy that did the motors, if you find out it's for sale and want to talk to him let me know.

That is a nice looking boat, and I had seen it on eBay, Boat Trader, etc.
Anyways, it's not quite suited for what I want, as I have a brand new set of engines and drives here, and am ideally looking for a vessel without these components.
I'll keep looking

I'm sure considering where your at that you prob already looked at the 03 at Glencove? What did you think? I was going to drive over to take a look but found an 06 with just 29 hours that I couldn't pass up.
