I've got a few questions for the Fountain owners.

I just bought my first 35 lightning. Its a 96 single step w/genVI 525's. I've been playing with the tabs, and trim, and the best ive seen out of it was 82. I know i can call Fountain, but before i go that route i wanted to see what all of you guys thought. Keep in mind i am used to a boat walking a little, but im not sure this boat will perform its best loose? Thanks in advance. Jason

Also i should add that im turning 29p Hydromotives

82 on GPS ? that's about the best you can expect from 525sc's, your doing well

Yea thats Gps. Handheld, but nontheless Gps. Maybe its wishfull thinking, but ive heard rumors of some folks getting 84-86 out of this setup?

Boat is really clean looks and sounds good. The video was not clear but I think you need little more tab or negative trim.Speed wise 82 is about right for a single step.

They buried the drives back then, throw on some -2 imco's and 5 blade props and you' mgiht very well pick up 4 -5 mph.

yep, that's what I did with my '99 Single step 35, my advice to you, is be happy with 82 & call it a day, the 2-3 MPH you get is not worth the $$. I spent a wack of dough to get my 35 to run a real 85. just to sell it & get a 100mph cat. now that thats out of my system, I'm back in the 80's club, it's not so bad:drink:
