Anybody know what the head room in the cabin is in the 38 and the 42. (Highest Point) Thanks, couldn't find it on the Fountain website....

I could measure my 07 38 if you want, but the 42 is a deeper boat for sure.

Probably around 5 ft 3 at the door. The Formula 382 I had was 5 ft 5 (maybe 5 ft 7???) and the one time I was in a 42 the cabin seemed a little smaller. Still a fast, good looking boat, just not "big".

Thanks. I love my 29 Outlaw, but now that I've got a kid I think I want to go bigger all around and It's been atleast a few yrs since I've been in a 38 or 42 and I can't remember what it feels like when you walk down in the cabin in either model.

Hopefully take a trip to Shogrens to check them out. No dealers in MI for any performance boats unless you want a Sunsation.

Thanks again,
Brent

I think of all the performance boats out there fountains have the least amount of cabin room.

Sonic or AT has a lot of room for their size. There is a nice Sonic 386 at Shogren.

Donzi's from what I remember are the smallest....For me if I pull the trigger to go bigger it's either gonna be 35 Outlaw or 38 Fountain. Maybe Formula, but it would have to be perfect.

There isn't any dealers around me so I really am trying to gather as much data as I can before I trek somewhere.

Guess it depends on what year you're looking at. Some of the early 2000s 33 and 38 Donzis are huge. "Thicker and wider"

When I had kids I went from Fountain to Baja for more room. My 8 and 4 year old girls get lost in the 342.

The 386 Sonic at Shogren has over 6' of headroom. Killer paint job and interior!! Low hours and fresh 500EFI's.

Ya I've been in a few Sonics I like the 30 but not a fan of the 386. I like the lines of a 35 Outlaw and the 38 Fountain much better. But I agree that Sonic at Shogrens does look nice and is big, just not my preference.
