Default 42' changes since 01

Bought an 01 w/Merc 900's and #6's . Wondering what changes were made from then to now . Things like handling , weight and speed ? The boat and rigging look to be in great shape . What speeds should I expect , easily saw in the teens on the test ride . Thanks

Local guy has an 02 with 6 and 900. He ordered new herrings and the boat ran 120. Goes by gofastlover on the forums.

Great boat.

Cabin Door - Changed to slider in 2005
Bottom Changed - 2005
Cockpit Changed - 2007
Dash Changed - 2007
Cabin Changed - 2008

The new bottom allows the hull to take more power. The angle of attack and strakes were changed in 2005 to allow flatter faster turning.

Hope that helps.

Congrats on the boat! Moved from Velocity to Fountain myself, hope the new boat is all you want it to be. Sounds like an awesome ride.
