anti siphon valves

Wouldn't every tank have to have these valves to be USCG compliant, regardless of who/where they came from?

well I checked a saddle tank, you cant pull the tube out all the way but managed to fish a cable down the tube all the way, with the pickup tube pulled out as far as I could and found no obstruction , just kept pushing the cable all the way through, and did the same on a main tank ?

Did you remove the hose barb on top the tanks to do this check?

I removed the fuel suction hose , hose fitting, so I could have room to turn the fuel 90 degree pickup and pull it out as far as I could , 8 to 10 inches or so and then fished a fine cable down the tube and it kept on going deep into the tank ,this boot was built from the factory with 750 griffin blower motors so I am thinking the valves were never installed . one of the main tanks I did the same thing with the cable and I could stuff 2 + feet of it through the tube , thanks for the response .

You may be right about CG regulation. But you may be allowed if fuel system have a shut off valve Im not sure, the CG gave the approval for them to put a build certification stickers on the tank , fill, vent, and pick-up assembly and there was not an anti- syphon valve
