Default Ext hydraulic steering on 38 fever

I am trying to mount so Latham 8in rams on my 92 38 fever.e I want to keep them on the outside the drives but the mounting brackets for the tabs are in the way, so I was wondering if I can mount the above the brackets and if so how far above them should I mount them. Any help or pics would be great. Thanks Eric

Might double check, but I think they are suppposed to be on the same centerline as the drive pins so all raise/lower w/o binding.
