Default Charleston Area

I am on a business trip to Charleston, SC. Got a chance to spend some time on the water this weekend, on the bay. I saw a lot of center consoles on the water which makes sense for all the fishing here. I was surprised at not seeing any performance boats for such a nice weekend. Are there performance power boats in the area or is it just early in the year. From where I live, I would take mid 70s on the water in my boat, in March any time!

I lived there for a couple years. In all my time hanging out downtown, Shem Creek, and other boating areas such as the sandbars a little north Sullivans island, I saw one offshore boat. I saw some other boats like Checkmates, but it was never a strong area for performance boats. The boat pulled in up at what used to be Big Game. Always seemed like a sweet place to boat, I was ever only out on CCs.

Ah how I miss that place!
