35 vs.42 lightning hull height ????

Hello; I want a 42 but my 35 barely fits in the garage due to ceiling height. What is hull height difference from a 96 35 lightning ? Or what is hull height of 2000 42 lightning compared to 1996 35 height?I can allow for different windshields. Anybody know?? Thanks

I am going up to work on my 42 this weekend. I can measure it for you then. You want the distance from the bottom of the hull to the top of the windshield? Bill

Keep in mind different trailers are going to have varying heights by a few inches if its going to be THAT tight.

Sounds like a good excuse to build a bigger barn!

Sorry for not responding sooner, was out of town.Since there are various windshield heights, the hull measurement height would be best.I forgot about different trailer heights. The 35 now slides into a garage underneath the house. Thanks Guys.

Or rather to go for a PR 42, which I think is lower than the Lightning...!

if it's a few inch's you can alway's lower the air pressure in the tire's just before you back it in as long as you back straight in i would think you would be ok with some low pressure as long as you dont make them totally flat and then fill them back up as soon as you pull the boat out .
someone i no used to do this with a big truck that he only used on the weekend's and it worked great for him
just a thought
