Very cool video, and nice rig.
Im curious though , if you look at the speedo and tach and 2:08 its far from pegged and not even halfway up and it looks like you got about another 1-1.4K left to go on the tachs - then the speedo shoots up to the top, which we get a look at at the end.
How fast is the boat?

Ok, the joke is up...lol....the speedo was messed up! But we thought it would be fun to edit the max speed of 118 on the vid for s*%ts and giggles.
Top speed that day was 115. Generator was running and AC blowing wide open! I think it had 60 gallons of fuel in her and 3 of us riding. Not bad for a AC/Generator boat!

You are correct about the diff of the 600 and 700's!
On the 600 boat we had to first change the lower gear set from 1.50 to 1.36 and go w 32 6 blade Hering for Stage II. For stage III on the 600 we put the 700 cam in her, change the pully, ecm re-program and went to 33 7 blades from Hering.
I believe there is more speed in the 700 boat if I recall from what Brian @ Fountain said but would require some different pitch props. Which we all know #6 props aren't so cheap to gain 1-3 mph.
Thanks for the nice comments...we plan to have lots of vids this year at all the poker runs we are attending!

I'm impressed with those motors of what they are capable of.
So if I have it right the 600 and 700 are just about clones from Merc except for pulley, program, and innercooler?
With the 700 boat you don't have to size up on the props being that the limiters are upped to 5950 but what did you have to go up to on the 600 boat?
Again, great results and those 2 vids are the best hair on the back of the neck standers.

You can change the props and bring the rpms down and pick up top end, but the acceleration drops and you put strain and pain (as Reggie use to say) on the NXT transmissions
same props, but picked up 7 to 8 mph with 7 blades
