So I guess there is no standard for gas tank capacities. ;)

I like the power to weight ratio that it has for acceleration, makes a difference in short distance racing on a lake. I also think it has the proper snout to cockpit ratio to give it a long and low look. MMMM, it may be as big as I want to go and load by myself, time will tell tho. I like that there is also not many around.

I filled mine up full with fuel, then decided I wanted to pump it all out. I only got 98 gallons out. Thought I would throw that into the whole tank situation. New motors going in, so I will log how many gallons mine holds from being drained empty. 150+ mile range is plenty for me.

what motors are you pulling out , what motors are you putting in Pitts?

We were going to replace our liquid filled stock speedo with the Livorsi DATA TACH but they're no longer available... instead of a GPS speedo, we'll leave the stock liquid filled in the boat as it's still working and add a GARMIN 521S or 546S

I had stock 454 mags rated at 385hp. Aiming for 475-500 hp out of the 454 mags.

Does the low ass end completely muffle the exhaust at idle? I am seriously considering a 32 but I want to be able to hear it. :drink:

Actually with the exhaust open and at idle, it rattles the chit outta my boat. The exhaust is trapped under the swim platform, builds up pressure, then escapes. Sounds like a POS car with a huge sub, everything rattles. Whenever I'm off plane, the exhaust gets closed.

what he said......... this boat sounds so brutal at idle I thought there was something seriously wrong during our test run, the entire boat was vibrating like crazy until we flip the switch for silent choice, at that point you could hear a pin drop ( with the engine hatch closed obviously )

This is the quietest twin boat you can purchase in my opinion, on plane with exhaust fliped back sounds great but still extremely quiet compared to anything I have heard over the years

Wildman_grafix 05-20-2011 11:48 AM

I don't mind how it vibrates at idle. I have been wondering about getting rid of the silent choice.

As for when you run, it pretty much is like any other with a bussle/swim platform.

lets put it this way you wouldn't want to be standing on the swim platform with false teeth at idle

we had musky attacking the sides of the boat thinking it was a giant Rapala SHAD RAP L!

but seriously, it's Friday afternoon........ it's time to drink!!
