ALL 32' FEVER owners PLEASE CHECK IN

What in your opinion are the pros and cons of this model?

So far we're concerned about the 108 gallon fuel tank on our 1997 model, that's not alot of seat time before fill ups. ( at cruise speed 35-45 mph how long are we looking at ? ) Maybe Reggie figured the boat already sat far too low in the arse that putting a proper 130+ gallon tank on for the twins may have sunk her L!

TOP SPEED with 502 MAG MPI's - what are you seeing, what prop/pitch are you running? tab/trim set? Anyone who rebuilt their 502's what did you go with? or if you opted for a complete engine swap what benifits did you see?

How many have water problems due to the low arse which looks kinda kool but has all those viewing running for help. Did you tear off your rubrails back to mid length and re-seal with 3M 5200 sealant? ( seems to be the norm )

Let's hear all the GOOD , the BAD, & the UGLY about this model in this thread from those that have enjoyed their 32 FEVER's for a few years if not more

Cheers
Spenc

I did not realize the tank was that small, the 29's have a 140 gallon tank on the singles, do the twin models have that size tank? It seems it would sit even lower.

Someone on here posted they had a sales brochure of 1997 that quoted 119 gallon tank.

I talked to Tony Vick today at Fountain who went back through the specs and confirmed the 97 32' shows 108 gallon tank, they mentioned it was something alot of owners have complained about over the years. 108 gallon/119 gallon, that's VERY small for a twin.. you're not gone 1/2 an hour and looking for fuel

let's keep it to the questions guys.. pros/cons what do you like what do you not like etc etc

Mine says 120 right on the tank sticker.

My 97 29 has a 155 gal tank. The stern sits pretty low in the water though with the 2 big blocks and superchargers on it.

Bad,,,,,,, no room to work in the engine bay, (I am 5' 10" 220lbs).
Bad,,,,,,, no good way to get up on the bow
Good,,,,,Gets on plan quick, handles better then one would think.

BTW

Everyone worries about the vents in the back letting water in. If you take a look, it's not like those things feed right in, they are tubes that run UP and forward, and so that the real height is a lot higher then it looks.

Yep, water would have to come over the hatch before any can get high enough to pass thru the vents on mine.
