Our 2000 29 with 500 EFI, 3/4 tank fuel load, 2 adults, ran 72-73 mph on GPS with Hydro Q-IV prop. I could make the liquid filled happy meter read 75-76 mph, depending on where I set the trim.
The later 29's with higher X dim and B1 props were getting ~ 74 mph on GPS with 500EFI's. IMO, the 29 is an ideal river/lake boat and it is easy to tow/store/park.

Ok I am going to speak up for all the 32 owners.
The 32!
But really the 32 is not that much more to tow, jumps on plane, and runs 83 to 85 with twin 500HP's.
Can't really go wrong with either, but I like having twins.
