Id check both, but vinyl is vinyl and as long as they copy the ones you got on, why pay the fountain premium when they probably arent even made by fountain. Plus if you buy locally and something breaks a week after u bought them chances are they will fix it locally.

I agree with Fountain4402 with one exception..."vinyl is vinyl" is not necessarily true. I'm not an upholster, but I've seen a lot jobs done locally and it makes a big difference on which vinyl you choose for the job. New skins done with lesser quality vinyl may have to be redone in 2 or 3 seasons. All I'm saying is...if you get a local quote...make sure their quote includes a heavier "quality" vinyl. just 2 cents.

True, plus a good quality marine vinyl normally resits mold more then just your run of the day stuff. I read once what is added but can't remember any more,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, that was a lot of brain cells ago.

Many different grades, just compare what they use on some high end ski boats to your run of the mill rinker.

You may be surprised, becuase Fountain already has all the paterns and have the power of volume buying they may not be as bad as one would think.

Let us know,

true check it all out, but unless you are going to tear off and install the new ones, factor that in on top of what Fountain is going to charge you. I dont know what somebody would charge to tear off and install new, but I would guess 500-1000

I had mine done local, I know there is a thread someplace in this section with a bunch of pics. I chose to do my hatch a little different than most due to a little clearance issue I have

I wouldn't mind having a clearance "issue" like yours!
