My personal 1998 32 went 118 on radar when I got it done. It is still owned by the person I sold it to in 1999 when I built the 38. great boat! Troy Dennis did the motors and it was a blast to drive!

At the time of purchase the boat had big Ford power. I beleive the previous owner had 605 cubic inch powerplants. 2112 sold me the 32. Mike knows his Fords and put a lot of sweat and tears into it. With all the customizing and pride Mike put into it (only having 7 HOURS ON THE HULL!!) its a one of kind fever, a GORCIOUS FOUNTAIN :coolcowboy:

Do you have any pictures of the boat with the Ford power in it you could post? Curious what blocks he used (460, FE?). Thanks

Most big cube fords are based on the 460 design, I don't know of any large cube FE based.

KOOL reading.......... giving me lots of ideas/hope L! Need to call Brian Forehand at Fountain yet, will respond/reply with their recipe for 100+mph for the members here. Heard 1400 HP was needed to break 100+ with the single step'd hull, I think that's a boat salesman trying to sell me a different boat L! TIME WILL TELL

Keith, I sent you a P/M My Gladiator is doing 112-114. I never got that fast in the 32'. I am not saying it can't be done though. The boat is on rails in the low to mid 90's. At triple digits it takes every ounce of your concentration. Be careful guys. :drink: |
