are you breaking "stock" props or tweaked labbed props? when the blades get thinned they break easy on stepped high x boats

I've broken 4 5 blade maximus, throws the blades off 1 inch from the hub. labbed or non-labbed, doesn't matter. It's from the high X and surfacing a prop that shouldn't be. I'm trying some 6 blade herings now. Lost a little cruise speed but faster up top. The boat feels way better in the rough.

I've never broken a blade...knock on wood.
I've had 5 blade maximus, 6 blade Herings, and 7 blade Herings.
