Did all fountains come from the factory with a performance report? Would it sound fishy to you if someone said they were the original owner but didn't know about the performance report?

No, they may not have received it or may have lost it. You can contact Fountain and they will pull it up and send it to you.
They did that for me.

depends on year how quick you can get one, they store the older ones off site but every fountain built has one

I agree with the guys about getting the report. I got mine from Tony also. It does sound fishy to me that the original owner does not know about them. Ask him to see the original bill of sale. If it is a documented vessel, you can get an owner history. Bill

Can you get an owner history report on any make of boat? I am looking at a used baja and was wondering how I could find out how many owners, where serviced, etc. I basically need a carfax on a boat!

You can search to see if it's documented and it may give you a little info. It can be misleading. For example, I was the first to document mine so it lists no name changes or previous owners.

so the boat has to have had a name and had to have been registered under that name? any way to look up by HIN?
