Reggie?
Been kind of quiet... Last i heard there was going to be 2 models out of a new company called RF. Any news?
|
Once all the initial fanfare quieted down the thought was a new C.C. and offshore for next years Miami boat show.
That makes sense considering everything needed to be designed and built from scratch. ed |
He needs to quit the non sense and come back to Fountain! Dont think this new co. will keep Fountain boats to the high standard that they have been. (just my opinion)

Im not speaking for Reggie, and regardless of how the "Fountain Divorce" came about, but I bet he's happier now by going back to his roots and dealing directly with the customers...I spoke with him today about his plans for our boat and he went into all out detail on his plan. I wish him and his family nothing but luck in his new endeavor. I cant wait till he comes out with a new hull design and owns everyone on the water....once again. |
Were busy as ever at RF Powerboats. We have a 47 Fountain,a 42 Fountain,a 38 CC Fountain,a 48 Express Cruiser and the Cat Killer in the shop.

I am glad that things are going well for Reggie and the family. I will admit that after all the wrangling that went on to save Fountain I was disappointed to see Reggie just up and leave. I certainly do not know the details, nor do I have a need to know. I do feel, and I'm sure many Fountain owners as well, a bit deserted. Believe most thought he would stay and carry on what we have all supported for years. Believe many were looking foreward to that. |
We support all the existing fountain customers and look forward to providing first class service. And look out for a 200mph 43 RF in the near future.
|
Any chance your going to make a smaller sport boat again like a 29? A lot of people including myself who own the 29 Fever and don't want the up keep of a bigger boat really wish Fountain didn't stop making them. There is no other smaller sport boat in my opinion that even comes close to the one you built and we'd all love to see you build another one.

I bet that 42 runs well when completed it's called knowing your product good luck!RF powerboats will do 200mph in a V Hull my 02!Also will be tough to beat!
|
Whats the point of a 200mph boat?
|
I love my fountain, the boat I always wanted as a little kid. Now I have a 91 Fever which is nice but older. I saved my money through two deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan to get this boat, you dont know how many nights I sat there thinking of driving and having a fountain while overseas. Just wish I had the money to afford something newer, maybe some day I guess.
Also Reggie please come out with a descent merchandise line. Be nice to have some updated shirts, hats, coats, decals, etc. |

I forgot, we go 200 mph everyday and at all the poker runs. :)
Actually, I was thinking along the lines of a new company,if you can call it that, is a 200 mph boat a wise decision? Look at where the quest for speed lead to. |

Actually, I was thinking along the lines of a new company,if you can call it that, is a 200 mph boat a wise decision? Look at where the quest for speed lead to. If someone wants and can go 200 mph then I am all for it. If someone wants to spend 8 hours in the no wake zones flipping their silent choice off and on to impress people then go for it. Would you rather take your boat to a shop that has had numerous years in the powerboat scene, still building boats that are running 200 mph, or......take it to a shop that specializes in Landau pontoons and Force outboards... all in all.... 200mph = you know what you're doing... |
All testing and setup that went into the existing kilo boat which has run 184 mph was put into the pleasure boats that the customer buys. The new 43 RF will be even faster and there will be a 200 mph vee bottom in the near future! All that technology will be put into the 43 RF pleasure boat therefore the customer is benefiting from the kilo boat!

You guys are missing my point. It's not about a boat that can go 200mph, the desire to go 200mph, or even if one can afford to go 200mph.
Either way, carry on. :) |

Now there is a blast from the past, Pachangas! Had a 32 years back, great boat. Back to the 200 MPH deal. To go where no man has gone before! Somewhat a Captain Kirk / Start Trek deal. They might even have to revive PowerBoat magazine to cover the story. :drink: Believe the real question here would be,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, Why not? |
Reggie

Hi Reggie,
My name is John..I own a 1997 - 47 Fountain Lightning with triple 800's SC and minus 3 IMCO drives that have 6 blade 31 pitch herring props. I currently have 2 rear engines out and all 3 transom assemblies out of the boat. I discovered some rotted stringers and also have a wet transom that I'm trying to dry out. Is that something you can help me with. I need to re-fiberglass, new stringers and some transom work done. I was also looking into blueprinting the bottom and maybe adding a 3rd step. The boat is on the trailer and I could take it to your shop. If you could respond back or call me. My number is 978-884-7813. John |

Not about to debate the Pachanga vs the Fountain. Just stated that the Pachanga was a great boat in it's day and I had a great time with it. Will just stand on that, will also stand on the fact that in my opinion the last two Fountains have owned have been two of the best boats I have ever owned. The man knows his chit, it shows in the product he has turned out over the years. |
Reggie
Reggie thanks for responding we will be in touch soon.
