Just got back from RF. WOW. What a great experience. Reggie, Lil Reggie and Wyatt treated me and my brother like Kings. Great Family...with TONS of knowledge...Thank you to all the Fountains (The Family that is).
Had a small engine hickup...the Stbd motor is going back to Tyler next week...looks to be a water reversion issue...possibly a leak in the header....such is life. Good news is... 1.boat ran 110MPH @ only 5400 RPM, and with one sick motor. Lil R is going to pull the 1" spacer out to get it to spin to 5800. Motors were not making near peak HP @ 5400....there is a lot left on the table as far as speed goes. Lil R couldn't even air it out for more than a few seconds till the motor issue came up. 2. Everything RF did/suggested we do added significant speed to the boat. (water pickups, raising drives, blueprinting bottom, Wilson Blueprint of lowers, Hering Props...etc) Bad news is: 1. We are running out of boating season and I want to run this *****!!!:evilb: Im not just saying this to be a suck ass...but, anyone who is either perplexed or stumped on how to get more speed out of their boat....give RF a call. We have been struggling for years on the right setup...and in a little less than a month they had it figured out. Thanks again guys! |
