X before with -2 sportmasters was 22.3/4 now should be 20 3/4 right , with 18 inch propshaft centers . 2 drive pics are from the pad 2 are from directly forward of the drive , that pic is running about 70 or so before the action starts !!!!!! Eric sorry for hyjacking your thread but I think everyone wants info on these settups .
Man I hope I dont have these same issues...I think we have the X jacked to the moon on our setup...we shall soon see. 30% slip is crazy high! Something is obviously wrong. Other than the -4's, props and the big strainer, keel pickup and intercooler pickups what else did you do on this latest round of mods that could of contributed to this?? I honestly don't think the drives are too close together...I mean look at how close they are on Poker run boats and Fountain's race boats. I sure hope you get it worked out...I know you will man. Thoughts? |
Something else to bounce off of ya'll here......
When alot of #6 boats run a high x dimension, the prop is set back much further from the transom in comparision to where a stock scx-4 location would be. Alot of cats I have seen with the scx-4 have extension boxes on them. Setting the prop further back lets more water to it and it also has more leverage on the bow. I would think adding a spacer could achieve "similar" results. Like TRL505 said, maybe RF3 can comment or elaborate on what he thinks of this. |
If you were 22.75 before now your 24.75, that's about 1 inch to high.

No problem Dean...I want you to get it right. Maybe R3 can chime in with some advise on what may be a quick/easy fix for you.
