Last I heard from TRL505 was that he was wanting Eddie to ship him one of the engine blocks so he could tie it to his neck and jump off a bridge with it...hopefully Eddie shipped it Same Day Air...:poopoo:

Not much to take pics of unless you want to see my pretty face:lolhit:
I did flow the heads and wasn't exactly impressed. They were flowed at 28" on a 4.500 bore fixture and no pipe. What I can see of the port work looks real nice. We need to clean all of the carbon deposits out of the runners and have a good look at them to see if there is anything left in them. The numbers are as follows:

Intake:
.200-148 cfm
.300-215
.400-267
.500-302
.600-332
.700-349
.800-358

Exhaust:
.200-130 cfm
.300-159
.400-185
.500-211
.600-231
.700-247
.800-257

Sounds like not much has gotten done. Are the short blocks together? With the kind of $ being spent on this boat why skimp on the heads? Just wondering.:party-smiley-004:

Ha ha, yeah. Not that we mind your pretty face, but we'll probably be a bit more interested in motor pics.:lolhit::lolhit::lolhit:

It might have been mentioned, but what heads are we talking about with these numbers? I would think that heads for this size motor should flow 400cfm+ @ .700+ on the intake for that kind of power.

They are the stock 525 heads with some port work. I'm not sure who did the port work but from what I understand,Tyler sent them out to be done. I could be wrong, but that's what I have heard. It really doesn't matter though. I haven't really had the chance to clean the ports out really good and see the port work. However, from what I see it looks pretty good. They just didn't flow very good.

We are in the process of figuring out what to do now.No one is skimping at this point. We are just trying to figure out what it's going to take to make their hp goal without needlessly spending money. They have spent quite a bit up to this point. The first step was to see what the heads would flow and go from there.

Thanks Ed, I would have thought that 525 heads would flow better than that too, even stock. Everyone is anxious to see the end of this project and hopefully get the owner a full, trouble free, season! :drink:
