Thanks for entertaining us for another winter!!!
|
Had a feeling it wouldn't be long...
I'll be sure to let Eddie, and Travis both know to set 1 of those 3.3's, the Mefi, the harness and the rest of the left overs to the side... just park it next to the little yellow boat so I don't have so far to carry eveything... Your IOU will be in the mail... :lolhit: |

You better spill the beans what have you got up your sleeve with FPM and YPM ????????????
|
Ill let you all guess...lol.
Its pretty obvious. FPM work is first...then if we can come up with the money...YPM would be the icing on the cake. It drove me nuts all summer knowing your setup is faster than mine..lol. |

He does have some sausage fingers doesn't he? Yes should provide for an interesting winter to say the least and this thread will probably constantly teater on the side of heading to either the bilge or the uncensored section, so I feel for the moderators... haha !!!! |

Just go ahead and swap drives w Eric. I will take the -4's from you and then you will be back to the right x dim.. Then I will fork Eric the cash I get for my XR's on ebay. He can cover the diff on a set of # 6's because he only had to build his motors once this year ;)
|
Eric do you think the #6 package is going to gain you anything for the $$$ you need to spend ?

Rob Either i'm gonna go to 850's or a 42 w 6's . ( but not for a long time) I'll let you know if I go 850's :D Also Dry 6's take a lot less HP to spin |

According to Lil R...8-10mph. From day one he said with my setup if I brought him a boat with 1000ish HP he would get me between 120-125. He was spot on. All I can go off of is 42's with factory 1075's. They are pretty much 130-135mph boats all day. If we can get 130-132 then we would be stoked. Strap on some 4 litres...and we will be at 140ish. 140 has always been our goal.

but 1075s are about 1080 - 1200 how much power is lost through trans and 6 drive , I believe RBH has a dialed in cruiser pushing high 130s . Were you at loto during shootout weekend ?
|
Maybe R3 can chime in on the specifics....??
|
you still have gears and a trans , it cant be that much diff , and more weight , arent you supposed to lighten the load in boats ??
|
Wait a minute why not arneson , thats supposed to be the ticket , Eric you would be at a buck fifty for sure !!!!!
|
I believe RB told me his 42 has seen 134mph with the 1075s.
|
6 drives are faster. A 42 with 1075 merc runs 132-135mph.

Boat did 122 with 5 dudes in it (4 were 200+ lbs). Given this, I would guess that if it were light on fuel and one guy..it has 125ish in it as it sits now. If we can pick up 8MPH with the 6's...then Id be happy. Six Drives are way faster than my lowers...plus we would then have great peace of mind with the setup. Plus they look cool as hell...:lolhit: |
arnesons are more expensive then a 6?
I just want to know what you guys do to get all the money,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, need any help:lolhit: |

I know he doesnt have the -4 lowers but are they that fat and bulbus even with his drives as high as they are ? I mean how much material is really dragging through the water ?
1. The gears in the SCX are HUGE..and they create a tremendous amound of friction/HP loss. 2. They are immersed in a $hitload of oil thus creating more HP loss. Whereas the #6 is a dry-sump setup. 3. The X dim will likely go up higher when we go to #6 setup. Our X is high...but not insanely high. 4. The standard SCX lower is HUGE...the #6 lower is like a Ginsu knife. 5. I like girls with huge fake tit$. |
