Default 29 Single vs 29 Twin - Step???

Looking at some pics of a 29 single against a 29 twin, they appear to have two different style steps. Both are 99 boats too. The single has a much larger looking step...

Are they really different or am I missing something?

We used the older step bottom on the twins. Has less angle of attack.
