ha ha 7 days left and bidding is up to 49k + taxes and handling fees. There are buyers out there. I havent seen the boat, but it probably has black motors. And what the heck is a police department doing with an expensive racing boat anyway?

Hey... a little info on the boat it was donated to the Louisville Metro Police Department by a local lawyer or businessman (probably looking for a write off). Not sure what motors it has, but inquire about any damage to the sides ( I remember seeing some minor issues), also the boat sat in the Ohio marina last year and the hull was pretty stained. I am in Louisville and would be glad to drop by and take a look at its current condition. My # is (502) 802 8224

I sold the boat new. It was ordered with that arch from the factory. It is a regular Fountain arch that the customer demanded be placed in the reverse direction. You are correct that it was donated to the Louisville PD by the original owner (a local attorney). I remember him spending big $ on the stereo also. The electronics were factory installed. I am sure I have all of the built sheets, invoice, perf report etc. in a file someplace. BTW.......the boat was sold with 500HP carb motors. The extra gauges on the dash are for blower boost and fuel psi. He had plans on adding blowers at a later date and that never happened (as far as I know). It was used very little.

great feedback thanks! I'm passing, but it's good to know there are some buyers out there. I've seen some comparables with asking prices in the $60-80k range, but that is the asking price. Downtown is right, the boat would be a deal in the under $40k range. $49k+ is a little high unless you know the boat.

Wow what a rush watching the bid.. 50.9k up to the last second and went to 77.1k. The bid owner did not change, so someone bid him up $26k at the last second. Someone really wanted that boat.
