I finally talked to enough people that had the same setup with the bravo shafts and props that I got the answer I was looking for. My findings were that they were breaking 3 to 5 prop blades a season on 6 blade herings and me going to 7 blades was only gonna cut it down to maybe 2 or 3 a season, which is still terrible in my opinion. Now going to be putting #6 prop shafts and #6 - 5 blade hering props. Thanks to Dave at Imco that steered me in the right direction on the prop shafts for the SC lowers.

so your going to have to run a spacer to swing 17 inch props or are you going to go smaller in diameter ?

they make the shaft longer so the prop clears the cav plate
