I Am In The Process Of Towing My 47 Lightning To Washington, Nc To Rf Powerboats. Had A Wet Transom And Then Discovered That Half Of My Stringers Were Hollow, So Needless To Say I Lost The Whole Summer Of Boating, Which Is A Whole 3 Months In The Boston Area. Planning On Redoing My Stringers And Raising My Drives About 2 Inches. Prop Shaft Height Right Now Is 2 Inches Below The Running Surface Of The Hull. Power Is Triple 800 Sc With Imco Minus 3 Drives, 1:50 Gear Ratio, 31 Pitch 6 Blade Hering Props, Speed Is 101 Mph At 5900. I Am Wondering How My Props And Drives Are Going To Hold Up Running 2 Inches Higher Than Present. The Water Line Right Now Is Just Over The Prop Hub At
70+. I Am Concerned About Not Having Enough Cooling For The Drives And Snapping Prop Shafts. Has Anyone Experienced Anything Similiar That Can Help Me With My Project?

47 Lightning,
Looks like we may run into each other @ RF. We are flying out tomorrow.
I would trust RF's suggestions and opinions on how to run your setup. They have been very thorough with us...I say this before we have run the boat...but so far everything has come together in nice fashion. I hope you have the same experience as we had.

Hey Reggie..I found some fiberglass hatch inserts that measure 14 1/2 wide X 19 1/2 long and 3 1/2 inches tall..if you could measure my hatch and cushion thickness to see if this 3 1/2 inch will fit under the cushion..
