Default Anyone going over 100mph in a pre 1988 12 meter?

Got a 88 12 meter with 540's making 980 horse each. Had #3's with 1.68 ratio, 3 blade 28 inch props, went 95mph. Upgraded to #5's with 27 inch 4 blades, 1.50 ratio, and goes no faster. Can't seem to brake this barrier. Wondering if anyone else has.

1.5 drives and 27p, I'd assume you must be spinning the engines 6200-6400rpm at 95mph?

Send it to RF powerboats! They will find the lost mph!

I've got a 1989 . I'm putting 540 blower motors in it. I put Konrad's on the back 1.50. Motors will be dino @ 5700 hopefully 850 hp, 5 blade hydro 29 pitch props. I'm thinking I need to blue print the bottom. What speed do you think I'll get ???

It should be fast, a bottom blueprint will definitely help.

That's Good, I'll just have to run the fast cats in ruff water.
