Hey guys. Love our '99 47 Lightning with 525SC's but need to downsize to fit a lift on a house we bought in Florida. Check it out at www.upperchesapeakeyachtsales.com and I will consider a smaller Fountain, Formula or Velocity trade to 38'. Thanks

No reason she won't want a 47 if you take her for a look/ride. It does every thing a cruiser will, just way faster.:drink:

If you have any questions at all give me a call or shoot me an e-mail.

Thanks eddie, I will definitely do that. Heading out of town this weekend to look at one.

same thought here... There is an 03 with 525 listed at 99999$...

That 03 525 boat is very rough. The one at lake Cumberland looks like a diamond. I think the price is a little high but I am still a firm believer in the right piece will always bring the dough. This boat certainly is the right one. Looks pretty showroom. I think that boat brings more than 100k for sure.

Hi J.B.

I know Randy at Lake Cumberland. He is a fantastic and serious guy to work with. In regards to you question about these boats...: A 2006 MY and onwards is a lot better build boat. I would seriouly considder one of these rather than the pre-2006 version. With this boat, you will have better handling, higher hullsides at the stern (nice out in the ocean) and a more modern stringer set up. The 47 is a veeery long boat, and they tend to shake and flex a little bit. The 2006 and newer 47s are much better there and is dead tight. It looks like Casey have a really clean boat for you and it will be cheaper in the long run to have a newer boat. The 500s have distributors, while the 525 have static ignition with eight ignition coils and will run smoother, and also SMART Craft system and Guardian Mode. In addition to that, the headers looks better and the 525s have a "cerpentine" style belt instead of several V-belts. Works alot better... etc. etc. Fountain 47s eat drives for breakfast when you race / poker run with them. A low hour boat will probably give you less standstill and sudden costs. The 2006 have new step location and runs much smoother.

The 2003 Fountains are however build with more attention to detail and not so "in a hurry build".. I am sure that one is a really good one too, as it is sold by one of the worlds (previously) largest Fountain dealers.
I wish you the very best with your Fountain purchase and hope that this info would be of some help.

Post some pictures of your new boat when you get it!!!
Erik :)
