Default Any one have a low windshield for sale for a 42

Just got our 98 42 Fountain lightning. Boat fits in our garage perfectly in length. Heighth I am lacking about 3 inches for the door opening. I used my tractor to put it in so I could lower the tongue and gain the difference to slip it in. I just dont want to do that all the time. I would like to back it in with my truck. So now with all that said

Does anyone have a shorter clear windshield or the white race fairing for sale? I am open to either. Dont forget just blew my wad on the boat. Go easy on the price. Appreciate your time and thanks for any leads,

Side note I read the thread on cutting it down. Does anyone know who does that kind of work in or around Northern Michigan. That would also be an option. Thanks

Do you have a gravel driveway? You could create a gully in the driveway that will dip the rear wheels of your truck down just enough for the windscreen to clear the garage door when backing in.

You could also look into an adjustable ball mount for the truck, or a rear airbag suspension.

I'll bet with your talent you could remove the upper frame , trim the uprights , the plexi and voila ! 42 Poker Run !
Good luck Ken . I'm sure you'll find a solution .

Ran into same problem on mine. I was able to raise the header 12" and install a 8' tall door. Cheaper than a windshield.

I cut mine down... Not fun, lots of work, but well worth it. I have a factory windshield for sale if you need any of the old style top rail extrusion to stretch yours

How much did you cut yours down? I am thinking about even (0" cut) were the front 2 windshields meet the side ones to about 3 inches in the middle front of windshield. From all my measurements the trim pieces should cover the extra distance with it being cut down. What is your thoughts, Thanks Ken
