Looks nice. Can you take a shot from the top looking downward, especially at the nose bend?

Yes. I prill drill and use #6 1-1/4" ss screws. Ray suggests #8 screws. But if you don't get them perfectly straight they will have nasty little edges that cut swimmers and tie ups. not Cool. The #6 screws will blow through the holes if you crank them so you need to set your drill. I have have had these on my last 3 boats and they look awesome.

So they are screwed thru the insert and the molding only, but not into the FG, right?

You will be going into the glass about a 1/4 ". They only stick out the thickness of the rail. About 1/8". They fit snug.

When you draw the screws down do you get a wave effect in the stainless or does it stay straight ? and how does the butt end get covered
