rub rail

I have white white vinyl insert inside the white rubrail molding , what would a stainless insert look like with the white molding , also all the rest of my hardware is white powdercoated rails , handles ect ,I like the screwed in stainless just wondering what you guys think .

I wish I would have gone the SS route when I replaced my insert, but didn't want to change the molding too (more holes).

My boat came with the PC rails and all. Stripped all the PC'ing off and polished to mirror luster. The SS just looks more classy to me.

can you put the stainless insert in the remaining white molding ?

I have stainless insert in white moulding on my jetboat. much smaller application but it looks good. I don't think you will have an issue with it not looking right with everything else white powdercoating. white and stainless go well together.

So Im gathering that the stainless insert will fit in the moulding or not ?

I don't think you can use the SS insert with your current rub rail molding. Yours isn't solid, the vinyl insert fits within the molding. The molding for the SS is solid, such that the insert is supported from the backside. Look up Taco Rubrails for pics showing this.

Yes I looked on tacos sight and I see what you mean , no support on the backside , ok then back to the vinyl , thanks .

Contact Rubrails.com and talk to Ray. I have put the ss over the existing white rail on 5 or 6 boats. Looks awesome and gets lots of compliments.
