Default Looking for a Fontain Lightning 1996-1999 or Executioner 2003-> (Single step)

I am currently in the market looking for a clean Fountain 35 single step.. Just missed the one in Jersey I hesitated because of the color..

But the priceing on boats for sale today is..

How kan a 1997 Lightning have the same price
as an 2003 Executioner? A 6 year older boat, and both is
listed for aprox 69000 USD?

And people are wondering why the are so hard to sell?
Or perhaps they all have loans equivalent to the listingsprice?

Just love this one, the color is just perfect!
i dont like all the pastel colors.. Just red, simple, stylish!

Hey skidolof, sounds like we're both in the same boat here, no pun intended Been looking at 35 Fountains myself. Like you said, the way some of these people are pricing their boats is funny to say the least. I think a lot of it has to do with people being upside down on their loans. Guess they don't understand it isn't going to get any better for them by trying to sell it for what they owe instead of just selling it for market value. Don't worry though, their boats aren't going anywhere. I figure keep a tally of the months/years the boat has been listed, call the seller every now & then reminding him how long it's been up for sale, and ask him if he's ready to actually sell the boat, or if he wants to keep going further in debt on it

That boat on powerboatlistings is nice! Looks well taken care of.

Feel free to PM me if you'd like. Can give you my email or phone number. Wouldn't mind sharing stories or info with someone who is doing the same thing as myself.

The listing you have above is for a boat owned by a friend of mine. Sold last spring for a number very close to the asking. Boat was a 9.99 on a 10 scale. Engines were fresh, done by another friend of mine and ran very strong. Likely why it sold for all the money.

That boat was extremly clean for a 97. I have seen 08s that did not look that good.

I am not sure what everyone was thinking when they ordered all those pastel, pink, and purple Fountains in the 90's either, I see a lot of good boats in great shape with nice engine packages that just have horrible schemes and colors.

I was admiring this boat the other day and it looks like a good deal for 63k IMO, if what Ragged Edge says about the boat is true and it is turnkey ready.

You could get a boat for 55k with 500's in it that need freshening and then you are back in the same ballpark anyways.

I am still trying to decide if I want a boat like this one with nice twins or a newer 29 with a bigger single. One thing is for sure there are new deals popping up every week it seems

I think Miami Vice had a lot to do with it.

Here is an 2007!! for under 80k.. I think thats is reasonble, a little over my budget but still a good price for a 2007..

http://www.boattrader.com/listing/20...oner-100107475

I rather save up some more money and wait a year and buy something similar like this one the pay 65k for soon to be 15 year old boat...

EWB, more info please!
