'02 38 Lightning semi-stagger

Currently I have IMCO Extreme SC's w/-1 lowers, 1.5:1 and 35P Hering 6 blades. 102.5 GPS is all she's got Scotty.
I'm going to change to SCX uppers and contemplating -2s and 1.35:1.
There's also the SCX -4's but with the added cost of #6 props and through hull PU's for the engines I'd need to see a 10MPH gain to do it.
Thoughts, please
Experiences, pretty please

Thanks
Rob

Existing drives will be for sale after I figure out how much $$$$ I need when this done.

I might be interested in the drives. ( once you are all ready to sell them) Sounds like you are down til spring. (Is this correct?)

Hopefully I'll be back together in a couple of months.
The existing uppers have 80 hours since new gears and bearings.
The lowers have 100 hours since new.
Before pricing and selling I'm pulling the pinions and upper gears out, and the propshafts and driven gears out for pics.
That way there are NO questions.

BTW I'm planning on using the SC-2 lowers NOT the SCX lowers.

Inputs????

Nothing? Darn.
How about:
I'm fairly certain an Arneson would perform well so;

The -4SCX would put the propshaft level with the keel.

Would the Bravo/Arneson conversion do the same?

Does the Bravo/Arneson put the prop further back or keep it in the same spot as a Bravo drive?

I have the "pad" so Fountain says I don't need a box, "it's built in".

Any thoughts?

Ok, we ran an 04 38 with 575Sci's with chillers, XR's with -2 Inco lowers and 31 6 blade Herings and ran 102.3 with 4 people and almost full boat of fuel in 2' chop on the St Lawerance.

Basically same numbers as mine. How's it get on plane?
Guessing 1.34:1 ratio. Up river or down? does it matter?
Ive always wanted to go down the Columbia for the extra 8+ MPH

The Arnesons work very well on the 38's as well as the other Fountains. The propeller will be further aft when you are comparing the non boxed Bravo to the Arneson.

The propeller shaft height is adjustable with the Arneson so there is no problem getting the height so to speak.

What size steps are on your boat. The Larger current or the ones of the first design? I think they changed around 02. Any pics of your set up

Thank you for the answer.
