No boat yet! considering two boats right now-one has 6 blade hering other has 7 blade herings. One had broked a prop shaft with 6 blades-heard of another that blew a drive-sooo whats going on with this set-up??

They will be hard on Hering props. My 06 38/600 bravo boat had 5 blade Maximus props on it. Never broke a prop. Hering is faster than Maximus, but you better be quick on the throttles if you jump it out of the water. Their is a 38 525 bravo with shortie's running around my area with 7 blade Herings. Thew a blade on one of the props. He uses his boat 100 hrs a year, needed reliability went to non labbed Maximus wheels. Boat lost some speed, but he hasnt had any prop problems since.
I have friends that bought a 42 525, with shorties....they were throwing blades off the Maximus props. They had a thread on here, Help My boat is throwing blades like a Nija. They ended up puting drive spacers on to lower the drives down 1 inch to stop the surfacing and help to preserve their props.
