Ridiculously awesome!

sommerfliesby 01-12-2012 08:33 AM

WOW! Looks absolutely great! Paint and/or trailer redo is next on my list...and Mitch's would be the number I'd dial!

Just put new power in last year, and just bought IMCO Extreme drives for this year. Some paint and mine would be like a new boat!

For now, however, my red is holding up well for a 1995...

I agree! Makes me wanna bring mine up to Mitch for a makeover. Yours would be a nice all red pallet to work off of. :drink:

Red is my favorite boat color and I am seriously considering painting my boat red, but was wondering if they are just killer hot in the summer? Do you have to wear shoes when you get on the deck? Pros/cons of a red boat?

pullmytrigger 01-13-2012 08:19 AM

Man those old Reggies sure update well!....congrats Rob....looks amazing!

ttuton 01-13-2012 08:23 AM

I used to have a red tunnel hull jet. Red is a great looking color on a boat but it is a little hot in the sun. It has a tendency to fade and shows scratches from sand and such really easily. If you keep up with it you can keep it looking nice, my boat was a 1990 so kind of old.

ROB FREEMAN 01-14-2012 05:46 PM

hey guys thanks , i love red too . summerflysbye seen youre boat looked at it plenty times looks great the way it sits especially in that one flying pic :) not to dissrespect mitch . but also dont want to push away potential customers . but thie job was far short of 20 k .with gratuity . BUT LOOKSA LIKE IT . !!!! Mitch is killer great .

Way to go Rob. Engines look awesome. Boat should run awesome too! My guess is mid 90's no problem. Maybe even faster

Back4More 12-30-2012 11:58 AM

They look great! What did you build?

ROB FREEMAN 12-30-2012 01:23 PM

pair of 572 cubic inchers , dynoes were also fully dressed .hoped for a little more. but very happy with phaffracing engines , and joe from baca marine . there now the same entity . no more nascar builders . well i guess phaff built the dodge engines, but everybody makes one mistake .

MILD THUNDER 12-30-2012 01:27 PM

My buddy had a pair of Phaff 900's in his boat. Never a problem with them. Those are good numbers for a N/A 572 in full marine trim.

only thing i dont think they had at dyno session was the headers . just decided at the last minut to spend more frikken money . they looked too nice to have ugly exaust on them LOLthanks guys

100 might be a stretch, but maybe! My engines made similar power, my non stepped 38 is right around 88-90 right now.

You've really outdone yourself on that boat. Cant wait to see it on the water screamin....

12meter joe 12-30-2012 02:01 PM

Wow! Nice job!
