Default 6" speakers

Hi I have a kicker 1252XI amp and want to buy 2 rear speakers that fit in the 07 Fountain cover if possible.
Has anyone done this, the speakers would have to handle RMS of around 125 per side?
Thanks Joe

Go with the Rockford Fosgate marine coaxials...they are rated at 75 rms however they handle big power and offer incredible quality. One of the best values Ive come across...

Are you talking about the side panels just ahead of the rear seat? If you are...you should check-out the JL 7.7s like Obnoxus suggested. I bought some 6.5s for that app and they were'nt wide enough to hide the impression from the old speakers. Of course there's a big difference in size and age between our boats. Just my 2 cents.

Yes , but I want my fountain covers with logo to put on top of new speaker, they match rest of boat powder coated purple if you know what I mean?
So the outside diam., will still be the stock original cover.

Most any 6.5" speaker with removeable grilles will fit under those billet fountain grilles. You may need to re-drill the speaker mounting holes to line up with the fountain grille, this was the case with Focal 6.5's.

125 watts is a lot of power for one set of 6.5's so it may be tough to find a set to handle that if you are running them full range.
