Replaced all my bulbs with LEDS in my cruisers cockpit. The festoons where larger in OD than the regular bulbs, but the length is same, which is what matters.
Purchased my bulbs thru http://store.marinebeam.com/bulbs.html

LB1-x12 series LED Bar-LB1-W12:Cool White, Then the power jumpers for the bars to be connected part#C21-P06. I hope this helps. The customer service at superbrightleds.com is awesome! These part numbers might get you started in the right direction.

Are these flexible strips? or is it a solid flat bar?

I also found these direct LED replacements on ebay. Not sure how good they are tho. Maybe a little easier to install. http://www.ebay.com/itm/220882964255...84.m1423.l2649

A solid flat bar. The ones you found on ebay are sweet and much easier to install, however the solid strips that I installed were half the cost. Although the tube LED that you found is much brighter I bet.
