I saw this ad and was wondering what the skinny was on these boats. I assume it's about a 65 mph boat? How are they in rough water? What kind of power would you need to get to 80 and how would the boat handle it?
Thanks,
David

I have a 97 single step which is running low to mid 70's but has been modified. I love speed and power, but honestly mid 70's is about as fast as I want to go in my 27. It starts dancing around alot at that speed.

The boat is a great , fun and nimble though and I havent had one complaint about the hull.

I am sure there are others on here in the 80's and up who could chime in.

Would be nice to see more pic's or in person. I gave alot more for my 91 but it has a low hour 598ci motor xr drive and Myco trailer. I have seen alot of boats sell cheap this spring.

Folks on this forum have said that the 29' is faster than the 27' with equal power. The 29' w/a single 525 h.p. Mercruiser does 75+ depending on the load. I would think 600 h.p. would push a 27' close to 80. I'm sure there are owners on this forum who have a similar combination and will weigh in which is WAY better than my SWAG! Bet I'm close though...

My '94 27 with 600hp was an 83mph ride. Was fine at that speed, chine walked at around 75 IIRC
