Default All 8 cable lengths 32 Fever

I asked a week or so back for control cable lengths and got no answers, so I pulled them out and figured I would share in case anyone needs them as well. I'm not 100% sure but I believe you can add or subtract from the 32 for your size fountain to use on different models. I used Reds on indicators and Xtremes on shifters/throttles.

32 Fever w/standard merc/bravo/k-planes

Port Throttle 22ft
Starboard Throttle 20ft
Starboard Shifter 18ft

The technician just called me and told me the port drive indicator cable on my 29' Fever was 20'. I don't think you can just add or subtract based on the overall length of the boat as the majority of size, as you move up in length, gets added ahead of the controls. I will post the PN# when I get my boat back.

length also depends on the routing path to get a straight shot into the tabs or drives....i used the inches (216, 228 etc) printed on the cables to order new ones prior to replacement.

How much of a head ache was it to route the new cables threw the transom on the indicator cables?? I have one broken and it seems that one more of trim cables is week as well.

Lucky,

The tech that worked on my 29 said he had to drill around my original drive cable with a very small drill to get it free. Could not get it free without the drilling. It sure works like a charm now. It is a blue cable and the tech said there were two grades and he used the best, only $5 more. I'm going to have him do the starboard side at the end of this season. About $50 for the cable and an hours labor.

Good luck.
