I kept a fortress in my locker. It didnt fit in the mounts but it laid in the locker ok. It was light enough that I never worried about it.

I have a 17 pound blue one,
and a 21 pound metal colored one that came w the boat. The 21 has 17" teeth and the 17 has only 14" inch teeth, They will both fit. But the 21 will hold better in the wind

My 17 pound one has the 2 bars that stick out cut off
The one that came w the boat (21 pound) has a bout 2 inches left on each side . ( B dimension ) It makes the b dimension about 15 inches

Get one then remove the length of the side bars sticking out so it lays flat in you locker. I put a throw cushion below mine because the previous owner let the anchor rub a hole in the bottom of the locker/. Hope this helps

Chad

It wouldn't take too long to mock up a larger anchor size out of wood (just a simple triangle shape) and see if it could be maneuvered around to fit in the anchor locker. I am fairly new to Fountain land and have not been next to a larger Fountain to see if the locker sizes are the same. I'll measure mine tomorrow and post the results.

My boat came with a Fortress FX-11 from the previous owner. Wiggle it in and it fits. Doesn't seem to bang around too much.

Holds well, but I added some serious chain to get it to sink faster.

I cant get the anchor in my 38's locker that I had in my 27. The door seems to be too narrow on the lightnings in that year.

Jason....let us know what you end up with so I can buy the same

Are you using the Fountain anchor holder with that anchor as well?

I had to modify my holder to use with the fortress and i had to put a small hole in the anchor to use the pin to hold the anchor.
