Most seem to prefer Bravo props on stepped hulls.

Thanks, called Bblades already. Any experience with a labbed B1? Thinking about going that route.

I bought a used Bravo 1 here. It was a 24p labbed by Throttle Up. With that, my boat ran 69 gps. Best ever. Unfortunately, I damaged it about 2 weeks ago. So, I'm putting my stock bravo 1 back on. It's best was 66 gps.

I'll send the labbed one off this winter to see if it can be repaired.

Those speeds are on the Ohio River

I ran 69 gps at Lake Havasu this spring with a Hydro 23 QIV at 5000rpm. I have cmi exhaust and some match porting done on mine and I had the timing advanced to 12 degrees for Denver elevation. Mine too seems to spin/blow out just as the boat is getting on plane. Greg at CEP said that the fountains really respond well to Mirage Plus 3 blade props for top speed, might want to try a 25 in the Mirage? that is what I was going to do next time I am at sea level.

What kind of rpms did you see with the labbed prop? Not sure of the rev limiter on the stock 502mpi. Thanks

It's been a while since I ran it a WOT, but I believe it was about 5100 rpm.
